A Sunday....
We went down for lunch after church, figured that the kids were feeling really cooped up and needed a break at an ice-cream place. Ivan knew exactly what he was having for lunch, as soon as he sat down. These are these days that I don't have to deal with him being indecisive. He was going to have the kids meal of the really, really, mini, beef burgers.
They are wonderfully tasty, rich and well done on the outside yet moist and tender on the inside, seasoned with the right array of herbs and spices I must say, yum yum. As soon as he had placed his order with me, he took out his paper and pen and started writing away. One of the ladies at Sunday school was very impressed with his cursive handwriting, at class. He was focused on that activity, until his dish was served.
Immanuel, went for the salmon and mushroom pasta. Spaghetti served with a rich and creamy sauce. Tossed over with a handful of fresh salmon and sauteed mushrooms. Yummy... from this you will know that I love food. I don't eat them, I savor them first, then think of putting on the weight later. So my kids do have a thing for fine tastes and great desserts.
No meal is complete without dessert, so for it to be healthy yet fun, we had the Banana Split. Okay, I will not go into describing it, it was simply great. Nothing, gets all that food down well, like a dose of shopping.
Yes, my favourite pass time. However, I wasn't going shopping for myself today, it was very much for the boys, they needed to get some new Christmas clothes for the Birthday of our Blessed Christ. So into the shops we went and out we came with clothes.
It was a delightful Sunday, the message during service was very refreshing. A great eye opener for me on the message of Faith, coming from a guest speaker. As for the rest of the day, it was pretty laid back.
