I changed my mind....

2008, December 8, Monday

I changed my mind....

Char Kway Teow.... the rich and fatty dish that can only satisfies your tummy. We went down to the food court at Sun Plaza to have lunch. I figured that I knew what to order. I ordered Hokkien Noodles for Ivan and Char Kway Teow for Immanuel. Ivan had always fancied the Hokkein noodles to anything else. Surprisingly, after daddy collected the dishes and brought it to the table, Ivan got upset. He looked at the plate of Hokkien noodles and said, "No, I don't want." He then reached out to his brother's plate and started to eat.

We had to make quick decision, should we allow him to eat what we have bought for his brother? Should we buy him another plate for himself? What if he was just fussing? Well, mummy quickly took a picture so that we could talk about it when we went home. We didn't buy another plate. Instead, we got the boys to share that plate and observed Ivan. He enjoyed the noodles and was content. Immanuel was being so sweet that he  didn't mind sharing and we didn't want to waste.

I could not understand why Ivan wanted to suddenly try a new dish?
Did it suddenly appeal to him? The look? The smell? What was it?

Well, as far as I am concern, whatever the reason maybe, everyone should be given a chance to change their minds. Ivan, did just that. It was actually good. I am sure that there will be alot more changes that we should prepare ourselves for.
