The Movie- Madagascar 2
This morning we managed to get our act together and make it for the movie, Madagascar Escape to Africa. The boys don't look too happy in the picture because I had to drag them out after breakfast, if we wanted to make it on time.
We got the popcorn and the coke and headed for the show. Just before we entered the cinema, I snapped this shot. You see, unlike other families who enjoy movies, we have to do it with a twist.
Ivan's first trip to the theater, was pretty messy. I was afraid that the darkness would freak him out but, it was the sound that affected him. Also after awhile, he started to walk around. This would normally annoy other people, but not when we went. We would only go to the cinema at Sun Plaza, because they are always empty. Also, we would wait for the last week of the running to go an watch the movie. This way, we don't annoy anyone and the kids get to enjoy the movie all at the same time.
After taking the photo, we headed into the cinema. We got in and there was only another couple there besides the three of us. The kids enjoyed the popcorn and the movie. Thankfully, this time Ivan did not have any tricks up his sleeves. (I was so glad) Normally, when we watch a show, he would place his legs on the top of the chair in front of him, or kick the back of the chair in front of him or even just get up and walk around. I was so so so happy that all he did today was humm..... softly. That was bearable.
The best way to know if your kids enjoyed the movie, is to listen to the comments they make later over a meal. And yes, they like it very much. ( the simple thrills in life for a child).
After munching all that popcorn, there was no way that we could have lunch straight away, so we settled for some munchies. Now where were we to go for small bites, Immanuel suggested Sakae Sushi.
It was also a great experience at this Japanese restaurant. As a family we do eat there once in a while. But this time Ivan, attempted to eat with his chopsticks. We had some nibbles and I tried very best to stall them from coming home so fast. One of the tricks I play on them all the time, because when they get home they just bump around.
It's just so boring when the holidays are like this. Their dad much better at bring the fun into their lives.Well, the good thing is that my hubby called and said that he would be home soon, most likely next week. That's great because the boys just go crazy when he is around. And sometimes holidays like these, you got to let out some steam, go crazy a bit. Because my boys see me as the disciplinarian, its hard for them to lighten up with me. Sometimes it works but its so much easier with the dad. I would say that it was a fruitful outing today. Never thought that I had to play both roles of father and mother, but I am doing the best I can.
