This morning, was a big day for both of my boys. Immanuel had a Math Exam in school. And Ivan, he had to sit for a few assessments.
Knowing that routine was going too differ this morning for Ivan, I spoke to him about it last night itself. I informed him that there was no school for him the next day, and that we were off to see a doctor. He understood and didn't seem to be upset about the change to be made. I guess to him, since it was a day off school, I was to be fun.
He was up early this morning, and was prepared for the changes. He didn't fuss a bit. I was so glad.
We had breakfast, and headed off to Dover. I kept my fingers crossed, as we had to change trains, and Ivan never liked that about traveling.
The new train exchange system was pretty new for me, as I don't normally use these stations. To what I can remember, I was always using the North-South line. But we managed to find our way there and we were on time.
The interview was to start at 10am and we were there on time, but still pretty nervous.
Ivan seemed fine but I was so nervous, not worried but nervous. I had posted my anxiety on Facebook, as I was traveling. To my comfort, many of my dear friends, wrote comforting words to help me.
The assessments started and Ivan was performing to his level best. But along the way he started getting bored and started to shut down mentally. That was bad, because the examiner cannot determine his full potential if he shuts down. It was the second hour into the assessment...
The psychologist felt that it was best to do the next phase the following week, so I have to go back there next Tuesday.
I don't want to stress too much, as I think Ivan did okay. I know he could do better, but it's fine. My sis had arranged to meet up with Ivan and I for lunch. She mentioned that a new shopping center. Upon reaching, I was shocked to see an pretty pathetic shopping center. But since we were there, we had lunch at MOS and left.
Came home and started off with pending work.
