Batam 2010

This was a quickly planned trip in December, I just found out that I was to start work on the 10th December 2010. So my darling hubby, spring on this idea of a trip. We just picked up and that very Thursday evening itself. We met Paul and gang at the Ferry terminal and headed from there.

On the ferry, one by one, we all felt unwell, due to the water and the rain. Most of us felt like throwing up. Fortunately, I brought along the Vicks.

Upon reaching Batam, we had problems finding a hotel. We got to I Hotel and they only had a room left. So, that left us stranted in the rain. So from there we went to The Golden View Hotel. Apparently it was to be just like The Harry's that we were intending to go to.

When we got there, they allowed us to view the rooms they had. We saw the family room and the Delux Suite. Both had a jacuzzi and was great. After Merlin saw the Suite with the huge jacuzzi, she insited on that room. I managed to talk to the management into getting us good rates, well me and Paul, as we spoke in Malay. After booking in and settling in, we headed out to dinner which was at the Golden Prawn restaurant outside.

Seriously, my make up really needs some help. I only noticed it after these photos were taken. Seems like I need to move from Mac to Bobbi Brown now.

The dinner was nice and delicious. Thankfully, we could have a decent meal, since our boys are now bigger.
